When a Customer is managed by one Reseller and supplied by one or more different Resellers, the managing Reseller (called the "Owner") can share all or part of the customer's license account with other Resellers (called the "Recipients"). The Owner can choose to share:
Unilateral requests by “New” Partner for Permanent Transfer of management of individual Application Records or Customer Record(s) from current (Owner)Reseller or Mitel to new Reseller
Unilateral Requests by “New” Partner for Permanent Sharing of Customer Record in AMC with Current partner
In the following diagram, Reseller 'A' is the Owner of Customer 1234. Reseller 'A' shares one Application Record (or server) with Reseller 'B' and two Application Records with Reseller 'C'. Reseller 'A' shares the entire Customer Record with Reseller 'D', which allows Reseller 'D' access to all existing Application Records and any that are newly-created by Reseller 'A. In many cases an owner will share an account not for selling reasons but because of servicing.
Processing a Share or Transfer Request
To share or transfer a Customer or an Application Record, a request must be made to AMC support staff at amc_accounts@mitel.com by the Owner of the Customer Record, specifying the Customer Record or Application Record(s) to share and the Recipient Reseller(s) with whom the records will be shared. Follow the same procedure to remove a Recipient from a shared account. In both cases, an administrative fee will be charged for processing the request.
If you are acting as a new authorizedPARTNER for a customer, Mitel will process your request. However, before Mitel will initiate processing of your request, the following items are required:
An indemnification letter from an authorized person in your company
A copy of a letter or email from an authorized representative of the end user, which supports your requests and provides specific information about sites or systems to be managed
A completed request form, outlining details of the system / systems which correspond to the request purchase order for the transfer administration fee, or a tracking number you will use for your records. If you do not provide a reference number, Mitel will use the AMC request number as the reference, or create a special reference number if required.
The indemnification letter and request form are available on Mitel OnLine/Purchasing/Licensing/AMC Account Transfer Requests, along with instructions for submittal.
