Allocating Licenses (Distributors Only)

Distributors allocate licenses to their Resellers using the Tasks menu.

To allocate a license:

  1. From the Self Service menu item, click Allocate a License under the Tasks Section.

  2. Click Search, or enter search criteria on Partner Name/ID and then click Search Your Partner list appears.

  3. In the Partner name list, select the icon beside the Partner to whom you want to allocate the licenses, In the popup window click Allocate under the actions menu.

  4. The License Bank screen appears.

  5. Click Retrieve, or enter search criteria on PO number/Sales Order number and then click Retrieve. Your License bank list opens. (This list is sorted by PO by default. To display it by Product, click View List By Product and then click Retrieve.)

  6. In the Solution Provider PO field, enter the Reseller's purchase order number.

  7. Select the appropriate PO Number to show your available licenses.

  8. In the Allocate box beside the appropriate license(s), enter the quantity to allocate and then click Allocate. A confirmation screen appears.

  9. Do one of the following:

  10. After confirmation of the allocation, a confirmed transaction report appears. Click E-mail Report to send the confirmation to the Admin e-mail and one or more recipients, or click Done to return to the Home page. If your order is not successful, a highlighted error message appears.
